Palermo secured a convincing 2-0 home victory against Lecce in the Coppa Italia. J. Pohjanpalo and D. Vavassori both found the back of the net for Palermo. Despite Lecce having more possession (54%) and a higher number of shots (18 to 12), Palermo's clinical finishing made the difference, sending them through to the next round.
