Philadelphia Union secured a convincing 3-1 home victory over Necaxa in the Leagues Cup. The goals for the home side came from N. Harriel, B. Damiani, and C. Sullivan. Necaxa managed to get on the scoresheet through M. Espindola. Despite Necaxa having more possession with 56% and a higher shot count of 16 compared to Philadelphia Union's 44% possession and 11 shots, it was the Union who were more clinical in front of goal, earning a comfortable win.
