FC Barcelona has officially confirmed an injury to their star striker Robert Lewandowski in his left thigh, after being subbed off in the 77th minute of their hard-earned 4–3 win over Celta Vigo.
The club issued a medical statement:
"Medical tests confirmed an injury to the semi-tendinosus muscle of the left thigh. His return will depend on the progress of his recovery."
đźš‘ The worst news? Lewandowski will officially miss the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid next week.
The injury came just as he was about to score his 100th goal for the Blaugrana — he missed a golden chance early in the match.
